Montessori Assistant Teachers

Norwood-Fontbonne Academy seeks full and part-time teaching assistants for its Early Childhood (ages 2 ½
- 6) and Elementary Level (ages 6
- 9) Montessori classrooms.

The responsibilities for this position include assisting the lead teacher in developing the classroom environment, helping students through work cycles, and guiding students through assignments while demonstrating independence and personal accountability. They must work collaboratively with the lead teacher in the classroom to create a supportive and collaborative environment.

• Collaborate with and assist the lead teacher.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
• Enforce school rules and regulations
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Perform other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal.

• No experience in Montessori settings is necessary
