Under close supervision, the intern will participate in day-to-day operational support, data gathering, documentation, and project-related tasks while developing foundational knowledge of engineering systems within a GMP environment. This position will run from July 13th-December 11th, 2026.
** Here’s What You’ll Do
*** Assist Plant Engineers with engineering support activities for GMP utilities, including WFI systems, process gases, and supporting infrastructure.
* Support technical activities related to grey utilities (e.g., chilled water, steam, boilers, condensate) and associated building management systems (BMS), primarily through observation, data collection, and analysis.
* Gain exposure to GMP HVAC systems, including cleanroom concepts, air distribution, HEPA filtration, pressure differentials, and alarm strategies.
* Support troubleshooting efforts by collecting data, reviewing trends, and documenting observations under guidance from experienced engineers.
* Assist with documentation activities, including drafting technical summaries, updating procedures, supporting change controls, and organizing engineering records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.

* Support small engineering projects or project phases, such as equipment walkdowns, drawing reviews, commissioning support, or validation documentation preparation.
* Observe and support safety-related activities, including hazard identification, safe work practices, and adherence to site safety procedures.
* Follow all applicable GxP requirements, company policies, SOPs, and work instructions while performing assigned tasks.
* Complete all required training assignments and actively seek learning opportunities to build technical and professional skills.
** Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
*** Pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
* Interest in facilities engineering, utilities, HVAC systems, or pharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturing.
* Familiarity with basic engineering principles; prior internship, co-op, or lab experience is a plus but not required.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work clearly and professionally.
* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to learn quickly, follow direction, and work effectively in a team-based environment.
