Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Team Lead to play a key role on our team in Canton, MA office.
The ideal candidate will have experience in structural inspections and technical management, and can bring creative problem‑solving skills with a strong background in the field. This position requires the ability to manage inspection tasks, liaise with clients and government agencies, and direct teams, offering a great opportunity for career growth within a company pushing forward in the industry.
This position is a mix of office and fieldwork with some local travel, and offers plenty of growth opportunities with seasoned professionals.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises above water and underwater bridge and ancillary inspection and evaluations.
- Reviews, analyzes and resolves field issues.
- Responsible for engineering projects of varying size and complexity in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Performs complex difficult inspection, access, coordination, and estimates in inspection projects.
- Produce and review detailed inspection reports, ensuring timely submission for FHWA compliance.
- Manages and provides leadership on inspection projects, including:
- Proposal preparation
- Project budgets
- Project schedules and timely completion
- Project quality
- Project profitability
- Mentors field staff on the purpose and processes of inspections and inspection techniques.
- Make independent decisions within a general framework.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Ensures that staff requiring specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receive such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.
- Relocation is available.
