Mechanical Engineer
Pay Rate: $69/hr

Design, analyze, and develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace measurement and control systems used in aircraft and engine environments
Responsibilities:
- Support DO-160 environmental qualification activities, including vibration, thermal cycling, shock, and mechanical stress testing, in collaboration with test and certification teams
- Generate and review mechanical design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and engineering change records in accordance with company standards
- Support laboratory testing, instrumentation setup, and test execution for environmental and qualification testing
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective design actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory and customer requirements
- Support certification documentation and compliance artifacts for aerospace and defense customers
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience performing or supporting RTCA DO-160 environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, altitude, humidity)
- Experience with mechanical design for aerospace or aviation hardware
- Experience creating engineering drawings and documentation
- Experience supporting avionics, aerospace instrumentation, or aircraft engine-related hardware preferred
- Experience supporting certification or qualification programs for commercial or military aerospace applications is a plus
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory or test environment
- Familiarity with aerospace quality and compliance standards (AS9100, configuration management) is a plus
- Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication
