Your Opportunity As an intern at EP Wealth Advisors, you will gain hands-on experience in the financial planning industry.

This internship offers mentorship, career development opportunities, and practical exposure to various financial topics such as credit score/reporting, budgeting, emergency funds, and understanding financial documents (paystubs, tax returns, debt statements, employee benefits, etc.). You will also be part of an intern group, where you will collaborate with fellow interns, share experiences, and develop skills together in a dynamic team environment.

In addition to gaining industry experience, you will receive personalized support for career growth, including resume reviews, cover letter guidance, mock interviews, and the opportunity to present a research project. These services will not only prepare you for the next steps in your professional journey but also give you the chance to apply your learning in a meaningful way. You will also have the opportunity to network with senior leaders and professionals across the firm, gaining insights into different career paths within financial planning and wealth management.

You will work alongside a team of dedicated, client-focused professionals, including the Financial Planning Manager, Financial Planning Associate Director, and Financial Planning Director. You will collaborate on reviewing, analyzing, and delivering financial plans to clients while aligning with our core values:
Integrity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Inclusion, and Connection. What You'll Do As a Financial Planning Intern, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Client Work:
Work on straightforward financial plans for clients with assets under management ranging from $1MM to $2MM. Manage and maintain the EP Financial Planning process, including reviewing client data, inputting financial plans, and creating assumptions/agenda pages. Assist in generating scenarios and conducting internal reviews with the Financial Planning team and advisors before client meetings. Prepare action plans, reports, and upload relevant documents to the vault.

Organize files in Egnyte and on clients' Personal Financial Websites. Assist clients with setting up and maintaining Personal Financial Websites, troubleshooting connection issues. Support advisors in implementing action plans, including analyzing tax planning projections, social security optimization, and property & casualty insurance reviews. Analysis and Research:
Conduct analysis of financial trends and forecasts, making recommendations for optimization. Perform ongoing research as required by the Director of Financial Planning. Present a Research Project:
As part of the internship, you will research a relevant financial planning topic, prepare your findings, and present your project to the team. This project will provide you with the opportunity to deepen your understanding of a particular area in financial planning, as well as practice presenting and defending your research. Administrative Support:
Adhere to company policies, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance in all tasks. Attend Wealth Management Services and Financial Planning meetings and meet with different departments to gain insights into various fields and build your professional network. Miscellaneous:
