Supply Chain Planning Consultant (SAP IBP)
Employment Type:
Contractor (W2)
Location:
Norwood, MA
Systems Focus: SAP IBP & SAP ERP
Are you an expert in SAP IBP with a knack for aligning demand, supply, and manufacturing schedules? Do you thrive in fast-paced, highly regulated environments where your planning precision directly impacts product delivery? We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Planning Contractor to support critical planning activities. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Commercial, Clinical, and Product Supply Chain teams to maintain highly executable plans, mitigate risks, and champion data integrity.
Responsibilities- Lead Supply Planning: Drive supply planning activities in SAP IBP, including demand/supply reviews, scenario analysis, and exception management to support commercial, clinical, and non-GMP requirements.
- Translate Signals into Action: Turn demand signals, inventory targets, and capacity constraints into realistic, feasible manufacturing plans.
- Partner with Operations: Collaborate closely with Operations to plan, schedule, and execute production, ensuring on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
- Manage Risks & Capacity: Develop rough-cut capacity views and finite scheduling inputs. Proactively identify supply risks or capacity gaps and elevate them with clear, actionable solutions.
- Own the Data: Maintain and validate planning master data in SAP and SAP IBP (materials, locations, parameters, lead times), and support item lifecycle change processes.
- Deliver Analytics & Insights: Build dashboards and metrics to track plan health, schedule adherence, and inventory positions. Support critical ad hoc analyses for product launches, budgets, and reforecasting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive supply chain planning experience.
- Systems Expertise: Deep, hands‑on experience with SAP IBP and SAP planning/master data processes.
- Industry Background: Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, life sciences, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
