Production Technician II will be engaged in the manufacturing of test kits on the production floor and in the clean room, as well as assembly and testing of instruments on the bench, using test software. They must read production work instructions, drawings, routings, and bills of material to assemble electrical/mechanical components and products, perform production testing, maintain quality performance, document issues, and participate in continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions in English.
- Assemble and test units that comply with work instructions and quality procedures, including setup, breakdown, and use of automated machines, filling, labeling, and testing equipment/software.
- Properly and safely use all standard hand tools: screw drivers, wrenches, ratchets, wire cutters, cordless screwdrivers, and crimpers.
- Prepare units for final quality inspection according to current policy and procedure.
- Perform cycle counts in a designated work area as needed.
- Keep area clean, organized, and actively participate in lean manufacturing continuous improvement.
- Assemble, calibrate, and test majority of product lines, including critical electrical/mechanical components used in production; assist service department with occasional repair of instruments or component assembly and test.
- Assist engineering with experimental and prototype builds and provide input in process and product development.
- Instrument and sub‑assembly build and testing experience.
- Ability to assemble critical assemblies for instruments.
- Ability to verify and inspect previous builds.
- Ability to train lower‑level assemblers and technicians.
- Participation in 5S and ESP activities.
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment and federal, state, local regulations.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools and gauges to set up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Three to five years production assembly experience, including crimping, soldering, and assembling cables and harnesses.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Able to lift thirty pounds.

Work Location:
On‑site in our Norwood facility, 5 days/week (M‑F).
Targeted Salary Range: $24 – $27/hour.
Working Hours:
5:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
