Maintenance Mechanic II
A critical role within the maintenance department, reporting directly to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. This position involves executing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro‑mechanical systems, including electronic controls, conveyor systems, production machinery, and support equipment.
Shift: 1st Shift – 5:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on a 2‑2‑3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then reverse).
Compensation- New Hire Base Salary Range: $29–$42/hr the range represents a current market‑based estimate at the time of posting; actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, education, geographic considerations, and internal equity.
- All tools, PPE, boots, and uniforms are provided.
- $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus ($2,000 after six months, $3,000 after twelve months).
- Continuous growth with certifications in boiler, wastewater, and refrigeration – company pays for training.
- Performance bonuses: up to $400/month based on company performance, up to $4,800/year.
- Attendance incentives: up to $2,000/year with perfect attendance, per company guidelines.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of mechanical and electrical issues using technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Execute preventive maintenance procedures on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Identify and rectify defective or worn components within machinery, ensuring uninterrupted production processes.
- Strictly adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a meticulously organized, safe, and efficient work environment conducive to productivity and safety.
- Provide guidance and coaching to Mechanic I associates to achieve shift objectives and project milestones effectively.
- Undertake any other duties or special projects as delegated.
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in food manufacturing or pharma.
- MA Fireman 2 license and/or Ammonia Operator 1 certification preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license is mandatory.
- Proficiency in hand and power tools and ability to work independently.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP/GMP standards and practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
