Micromarket Route Driver

Overview

We are hiring immediately for full time MICROMARKET ROUTE DRIVER positions.

Location:

Canteen - 180 Kerry Place, Norwood, Massachusetts 02062.

Note:

Schedule:

Full time;
Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement:
No prior experience is required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour. All Canteen driving roles may include commission eligibility.

Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

• Drive a company vehicle along an established micro market route.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro markets.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display an understanding of company policies and administer as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro markets and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets; report defective equipment to maintenance/repair personnel.
• Ensure the truck is properly loaded with all products before each day’s route following operational procedures.
• Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Be accountable for all receipts, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation according to district procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 3 years driving experience required
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license (state requirements apply)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.)
• Able to work independently and manage route unsupervised most of the workday
