Your Future RoleThe CAD Automaton Engineer will be a part of the Product Engineering group for Large High Voltage Motors. Developer will provide conceptual and practical generation of mechanical software tools used by the Mechanical Design team. These tools will output 3D motor models and customer software with user and/or automated input.
Position is held in Norwood, Ohio with a hybrid office/remote schedule. Travel is rare but may be required under special circumstances.
Responsibilities- Develop drafting/modeling software with globally shared tools such as Rulestream.
- Read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings created by Innomotics or provided by Customer.
- Identify process improvements and offer valid solutions through the IT lens.
- Ownership of completed software tools to drive future maintenance and enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with the Norwood Product Engineering team.
- Communicate effectively with the IN HV Global IT team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or IT required.
- 2-5 years of experience in both 3D modeling and programming.
- Proficient in 2D/3D modeling and NX.
- Fundamental experience with typical programming languages.
- Experience in mechanical or electrical drafting.
- Mechanical engineering solutions-based mindset.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as work with other groups or teams locally and abroad.
- Understanding of electronic motor configurations.
- Excellent computer skills are required:
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
The pay range for this position is $60,438 - $ . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
