Maternity Services Scheduling Coordinator – RN

Tri Health Norwood, 4750 Wesley Ave, Norwood, OH, 45212.

This position monitors maternity calls into Central Scheduling each day, ensuring adequate phone coverage. The coordinator checks order quality in the scheduling database, verifies scheduling against departmental guidelines, resolves conflicts, generates daily schedules, requests blocking and alterations in scheduling software, and develops training and support materials for the department.

• Work closely with Central Scheduling to meet maternity patients’ needs and assist in staff education.
• Schedule procedures per departmental guidelines, coordinating exceptions and ensuring clear communication.
• Perform accurate scheduling, maintain order quality, and explore process improvements.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to meet clinical and patient needs.
• Follow guidelines for repeat telephone orders and resolve schedule conflicts promptly.
• Communicate effectively with physician groups, staff, and patients.

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing. New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Membership in a related professional organization preferred.
• 3–4 years clinical experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing.
• 1 year experience in clerical, scheduling, and computer usage.
