Quality Control Scientist

Our client, a global life sciences and high‑purity chemical manufacturing leader, is seeking a Quality Control Scientist to join their team. As a Quality Control Scientist, you will be part of the Quality Control Department supporting the QC Laboratory & Production Support Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality‑focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control Scientist

Location: Norwood, OH

Pay Range: $30/hr base + 10% shift differential when moved to 3rd shift

• Perform analytical testing on high‑purity solvents and solvent mixtures using GC‑MS, HPLC‑MS, IC, ICP‑MS, Karl Fischer, and other state‑of‑the‑art instrumentation.
• Conduct conformance testing for raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods.
• Support method development for HPLC, UPLC, GC, MS, FTIR, and related QC instrumentation.
• Document results accurately in SAP and LIMS and make pass/fail decisions as required.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure audit‑ready housekeeping, and support production with in‑process testing.

• Associate degree with experience OR Bachelor's degree (PhD candidates will not be considered).
• Strong analytical chemistry background with hands‑on experience in techniques such as GC‑MS, HPLC‑MS, IC, ICP‑MS, Karl Fischer, etc.
• Strong commitment to quality and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform calibrations, maintain accurate records, and follow established QC procedures.
• Preferred experience with SAP and Lab Vantage LIMS.

• 3rd shift schedule: 10:30 pm – 7:00 am, with training initially on 1st shift.
