We are seeking a skilled Data Center & Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the reliable operation of critical data center infrastructure and general building systems. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and facility‑related systems to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency. Candidates may range from experienced senior technicians to developing technicians with at least two years of hands‑on electrical, mechanical, or HVAC experience.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot data center critical infrastructure including:
- Cooling and environmental systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, and structural components
- Respond to alarms and system alerts; perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and document findings in maintenance management systems
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs
- Support installations, equipment moves, and infrastructure upgrades
- Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and site operating standards
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, facilities maintenance, or data center operations
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working in mission‑critical environments
- Data center or critical facility experience
- HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications (EPA, Journeyman, or equivalent)
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, and building automation systems (BAS)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
- May require rotating shifts, nights, weekends, or on‑call coverage
