Senior Children Residential Support Worker – Langley Mill

Blue Mountain Homes Limited is an established yet progressive company operating Residential Children’s Homes and Independent Schools across the UK. Since 2002 we have been “reaching out and changing lives”. We are looking for dynamic youth mentors who are committed to engaging, guiding and positively influencing the young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help create a positive environment for each young person, focusing on safety, health, and education.
  • Carry the home’s ethos and values through to the young people and represent Blue Mountain Homes professionally.
  • Maintain good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children’s homes.
  • Engage in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with company policies.

Shift Pattern & Working Hours

We operate on a rolling rota. Shift hours are 07:30–23:00. Sleep shifts are required. Working days may vary week to week. All applicants must have a valid manual UK/EU driving licence.

Requirements

  • 1 year of residential child care experience (preferred).
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care (required).
  • Manual UK/EU driving licence (required).
  • Current DBS check and Safer Recruitment procedures.
  • Valid work authorisation in the United Kingdom.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £36,232 per year (£14.00–£14.65 per hour, £60 per sleep).
  • Salary depends on qualifications and number of sleep shifts (3–8 per month).
