Play Coordinator (7.25hrs) Dorset Grade 3 - term time only

Bere Regis Primary & Pre-School has a vacancy for an enthusiastic, responsible and friendly Play Coordinator to join our lunchtime team. The closing date for applications is Sunday 22nd February 2026 (midnight) with interviews being held on Friday 27th February 2026. The role involves two important aspects: supporting the play team to provide a rich and varied set of play opportunities for our children at lunchtime, and providing high quality supervision to ensure the safety and general welfare of our pupils during the lunchtime period.

The post is for 7.25 hours per week across Monday to Friday, between 11.45am and 1.00pm each day (6.25hrs) with an additional 1 hour for planning and resourcing, which can be used flexibly.

• Coordinate and resource play activities, liaising with staff, pupils and the wider school community.
• Support the play team to provide a rich and varied set of play opportunities for children at lunchtime.
• Provide high quality supervision to ensure safety and welfare of pupils during lunchtime.
• Assist with setting up and clearing away of tables, benches and lunches.
• Carry out basic cleaning duties and supervise children when inside eating.
