Overview
New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
Responsibilities- Plan team rotas and support the Deputy and Home Manager in various meetings and appointments. Be flexible, reliable, adaptable, and read situations to help young people make positive choices while proactively supporting colleagues through leading by example.
- Work on a rota basis with an average of 169 hours per month (full time) plus sleep-ins depending on the size of the home.
- Meet the needs of our Children and Young People in line with OFSTED regulations. Enhanced DBS checks and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice. While the recruitment process is kept as short as possible, these checks may extend processing time. - Assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in implementing all aspects of the Statement of Purpose.
- Lead a team in Residential Care and maintain supervision in line with Quality Standards; take responsibility for personal development and progression of individual training needs.
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and the Deputy Manager. Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager.
- Hold a Full UK driving licence due to the location and nature of the role.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or equivalent qualification).
- Experience leading a team in Residential Care.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Full enhanced DBS paid for by Cambian Group.
- Sleep-in rate of £30 (2-3 sleep-ins per week).
- Overtime paid at an enhanced rate.
- 224 hours of annual leave per year.
- Career-enhancing qualifications and clear progression.
- Free enhanced DBS checks for children and adults paid by Cambian Group.
- 10-day paid intensive induction training course (face to face and online).
- 3-5 paid shadowing shifts with an experienced Support Worker or Team Leader.
