We are seeking an experienced Trauma Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in California. This assignment begins on Mar 4, 2026, spans 40 days, and features 24-hour in-house shifts rotating between trauma and acute care surgery at a Trauma Center. Schedule:

24-hour in-house shifts (7am-7am); initial urgent stretch from Mar 4 through Mar 11, with additional 6-8 shifts mid-to-late March and ongoing schedule to be determined Responsibilities and Duties Provide in-house trauma care and acute care surgery coverage Manage trauma and general surgery cases during assigned shifts Rotate between in-house trauma and ACS shifts as scheduled Respond within 15 minutes when on 24-hour trauma shifts Supervise residents throughout assigned shifts Additional Information California medical license required Board certification in General Surgery required Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification required Must be comfortable with both trauma and general surgery cases Previous Trauma Center experience strongly preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
