Senior Relationship Manager – C&I Commercial Banking

OverviewOur client is hiring a high-producing C&I-focused Relationship Manager to join a top-performing commercial banking office. This is an opportunity to step into a platform built for producers — with strong credit support, an experienced portfolio team, and one of the most aggressive incentive structures in the market.
This role is designed for a true business developer: someone who can originate, structure, and close meaningful C&I relationships, bring in deposits, and consistently generate new client flow.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and grow a portfolio of C&I commercial banking relationships
Originate and close new loan opportunities with annual production targets in the $20MM–$25MM+ range
Drive full relationship banking: loans, deposits, treasury, and cross-sell opportunities
Develop new client acquisition through prospecting, networking, and centers of influence
Partner closely with a strong internal team of portfolio managers and credit support
Maintain a high level of responsiveness and client service consistent with a community bank model
Focus on profitable, cash-flowing businesses with appropriate guarantor support initially
Proven success in C&I lending and business development
Strong sourcing ability and comfort in a hunter role
Desire to work in a high-performance, high-accountability culture
Ability to bring over relationships or show early traction in the first 90 days
Experience working with businesses typically in the $15MM–$20MM revenue and under range
Strong credit judgment and comfort with guarantees and cash-flow underwriting
General C&I cash-flow businesses

Higher-risk sectors without clear profitability
Deals must cash-flow, make sense structurally, and align with relationship-first banking.
Geographic FlexibilityCandidate may work anywhere within Bay Area footprint
Office presence is typically 1–2 days per week
, but performance matters more than face timeBank can now pursue follow-on California opportunities outside the footprint once an anchor client relationship is established
This role offers one of the strongest pay-for-performance models in the market.
Base salary around $150K+ (flexible for the right producer)
Significant incentive opportunity tied directly to production
Deposit incentives up to 10 bps once maxed
Loan incentives up to 50 bps once maxed
Quarterly payout structure plus additional kickers (CRA, professional services, etc.)
Top performers are clearing $500K+ total compensation
