QC Analyst

Pay Rate: $38–$41.70/hr (depending on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking a QC Analytical Analyst to support lot release, stability, and non-routine testing of pharmaceutical drug substances and drug products in a cGMP-regulated laboratory environment. This role operates with minimal supervision and requires strong hands-on analytical testing experience, attention to detail, and a compliance-driven mindset.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently on mastered assays, supporting investigations, and mentoring junior analysts while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform biochemical, physical, and chemical analyses under cGMP guidelines
• Independently execute and document validated analytical assays
• Evaluate analytical data against specifications and identify deviations
• Troubleshoot assays and assist with laboratory investigations
• Support SOP revisions, method validation, and method transfers
• Train and mentor junior analysts and new hires
• Support regulatory inspections as needed
• Maintain a strong safety- and quality-focused lab culture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
• 1–2+ years of experience in a cGMP or GLP laboratory
• 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with separation sciences (HPLC required; UPLC or CE a plus)
• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Quality Control laboratory experience
• Experience with method validation, method transfers, or regulatory inspections
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience

• Waters HPLC / UPLC
• Sciex PA800 (CE)
• UV/VIS Spectrophotometer
• pH meters

This is an onsite role in Novato, CA. Candidates must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday.
