About the role
The Assistant Director, Audit & Governance Management will provide leadership for the Hospital's strategies and governance on non-clinical audits and data protection, ensuring strong compliance, effective risk management and robust governance practices across the organisation.
Key responsibilities- Lead the Audit & Governance Management Department to drive compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate governance standards, organisational policies and data protection programmes.
- Oversee non-clinical audits and serve as the key liaison with Ministry of Health (MOH), auditors, regulators and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies, policies, framework and initiatives to strengthen the data protection governance, address data breaches and prevention measures.
- Liaise with MOH, Healthcare Group Data Protection Office and stakeholders on governance, compliance and data protection.
- Provide oversight and guidance on data breach management and regulatory reporting.
- Lead governance committees and drive effective decision-making and accountability.
- Prepare and present governance, compliance and risk reports to senior management.
- Promote governance awareness through stakeholder engagement, training and education.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage resource, budget planning, contract management, and overseeing general administration.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in audit, governance, compliance, risk management or data protection, preferably in healthcare or the public sector.
- Proven leadership experience with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of audit, risk management, governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Good understanding of PDPA and healthcare data governance requirements.
- Experience in policy development, compliance monitoring and audit management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
- Highly organised, independent and meticulous.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.
