A great UHY client is seeking an AP Specialist to join their accounting team in Novi, MI. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity.
The AP Specialist will be responsible for managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and supporting critical accounting functions.
AP Specialist Responsibilities- Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, and compliance with internal controls and general ledger requirements
- Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external vendor inquiries regarding invoice status
- Monitor and track subcontractor invoices to ensure alignment with project budgets
- Assist with audits, month-end close, year-end close, and other accounting activities
- Initiate and manage employee expense report accounts in compliance with company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and documentation
- Prepare and process vendor payments via check and ACH, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Manufacturing industry experience required
- Ability to commute to Novi, MI (onsite Monday–Friday)
