Temporary Accounting Assistant

Position Summary
Pride Staff are seeking a temporary Accounting Assistant to help organize and reconcile
financial records, maintain accurate accounting data, and assist with day-to-day
bookkeeping tasks while we catch up on accounting activities.
Responsibilities
- Match credit card receipts to monthly credit card statements.
- Match vendor bills, checks, and supporting documents to bank statement transactions.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Enter vendor bills accurately into Quick Books Desktop.
- Record payments in Quick Books Desktop for bills already paid through the bank.
- Review transactions for accuracy and identify missing documentation.
- Organize, file, and maintain accounting records, receipts, invoices, and payment files.
- Perform paper and electronic filing on a regular basis.
- Assist with cleaning up and updating accounting records.
- Research discrepancies and report issues to management.
- Assist with month-end cleanup and reconciliation projects.
- Support other administrative and accounting tasks as needed.
- Organize historical accounting files.

Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficient with Quick Books Desktop.

- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable asking questions when clarification is needed.
- Reliable and deadline-oriented.

Physical Requirements

Preferred Experience
- 8+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
- Experience cleaning up accounting records.
- Excel knowledge preferred.
Position Type:
Temporary / Part-Time
Pay:
Based on experience and Quick Books proficiency.
Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00
