Position: Administrative Assistant (Billing & Client Services)

You're the kind of person who keeps things running — invoices go out accurately, follow‑ups happen, deadlines don't slip, and clients feel taken care of. If that's you, this role provides real day‑to‑day operational ownership with competitive industry pay. This is an in‑person role at our Novi, MI office.

About the role

This position supports the day‑to‑day operations of the firm across client service, billing, and workflow coordination, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for both clients and internal teams.

  • Client Communication &

    Experience:

    Be a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact for clients on payments, client portal, and electronic signature questions.
  • Billing & Accounts Receivable: Prepare and deliver client invoices, monitor AR, and proactively follow up on outstanding balances - you'll partner with our professionals to keep the billing and collections process structured and moving.
  • E‑filing Support: Help track filing deadlines and ensure timely e‑filling of returns and extensions.
  • Process Administration & Workflow: Process electronic and paper tax returns and filings with a high degree of accuracy. Maintain organized digital records and project management workflow in systems.
  • Technology & Office Efficiency: Support internal teams by becoming a resource for software tools. Assist in implementing process improvements, best practices, and new systems to support efficiencies within the firm.

  • Prior administrative experience at a public accounting firm is a plus, but not required. We will provide thorough training for people who are eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with Ultra Tax, Safe Send, Asana, or accounting practice management software is a plus.
  • Salary: $50,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
