Design Release Liaison Engineer (Job Code: 1026)

Location:

• Responsible for serving as the main technical liaison between customers and Preh engineering teams;
• Coordinate project communications, timing, and testing to ensure complete requirement implementation, considering the functionality, quality and costs;
• Coordinate customer/supplier on-site meetings activities including product development meetings, math data releases, problem issue resolution, and cost reduction initiatives;
• Follow and ensure successful development of components through concept, development, pilot builds, PPAPs and product launch;
• Gather and review customer requirements to ensure understanding, completeness and avoid ambiguities;
• Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting and resolving to verify compliance with customer requirements;
• Provide system inputs and guidance for new product developments, DFMEA process, timing, development, analysis and validation;
• Continue through the launch as quality and warranty representative for customer facilities/plants;
• Perform test plans and system integration tests to validate the products and provide a complete analysis of the results;
• Utilize and apply knowledge of PPAP, DFMEA, Agile software development, cost reduction processes, PV/DV, TALC/AAR, V-model software development, embedded systems, automotive communication protocols, 3D mechanical modeling, 2D engineering drawings, FEA, Mold-Flow Analysis, electrical/PCB development, Project Management, OEM-specific validation/testing, quality process tools, manufacturing processes, customer technical interfaces, and supplier coordination activities to perform assigned duties;
• Conduct internal and external customer satisfaction surveys;
• Coordinate corrective actions to achieve continues improvements;
• Ensure overall engineering compliance with TS16949 policies and procedures.

• Education:
  
  Bachelors – Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
• Training:
  None.
• Experience:
  
  Three (3) years in the position above, as a Senior Product Engineer, as a Product Engineer, as a Project Engineer, as an Application Engineer, or in a related occupation;
• Other Requirements:
  Experience must include three (3) years use of all the following: 3D mechanical modeling, 2D engineering drawings, FEA, Mold-Flow Analysis, electrical/PCB development, Project Management, OEM-specific validation/testing, quality process tools, manufacturing processes, customer technical interfaces, and supplier coordination activities.
• Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
