Senior Proposals Engineer – Hydro
As a Senior Proposals Engineer – Hydro, you will lead the creation of highly competitive and strategic proposals for North America renewable energy control systems, primarily focusing on hydroelectric power. Your accountability will include developing solutions from both a technical and commercial perspective, encompassing written proposals and accompanying cost estimates. This role supports our Power and Water Solutions business and may be located in Blue Bell, PA;
Cranberry Township, PA;
Amherst, WI; or Novi, MI.
- Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and timely proposals for control system projects, reviewing customer specifications and drawings.
- Develop best‑value solutions that meet customer needs, reduce risk, and support project success.
- Present project costs, risks, and differentiators clearly and confidently to key decision‑makers.
- Review purchase orders to ensure alignment with the proposed scope of work.
- Partner with a global network of engineers and subject‑matter experts to ensure high‑quality proposal development.
- Apply foundational knowledge in engineering, automation, networking, and business to deliver thoughtful, innovative solutions.
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a Master’s degree, or 6 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
- Experience with control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA).
- Experience with writing proposals and developing cost estimates.
- Experience in the hydroelectric, solar, battery storage (BESS), and/or wind industries.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
