Energy Systems Development Engineer Job Description
- Design, develop, and release vehicle energy systems including HV battery, energy management, thermal, charging, and 12V systems.
- Own component and system requirements, specifications, and interface definitions across the development lifecycle.
- Lead DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation activities to ensure safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate CAD, simulation, and system-level integration activities with cross-domain teams.
- Support development of control strategies and system architectures using MBSE/MBD approaches.
- Manage supplier technical deliverables, design reviews, and issue resolution.
- Support bench, vehicle, and system-level testing, including root cause analysis of issues.
- Ensure cost, weight, quality, and timing targets are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate closely with software, hardware, thermal, and vehicle integration teams.
