We are looking for a dynamic automotive senior level Product Engineer – design/development & release of Interior systems, particularly Instrument Panels (IP) s and Consoles. This opportunity is for a full‑time position with Bertrandt US, contracted to work on site at our OEM customer.

• Work with Supplier(s) to ensure proper upload of data into the OEM system.
• Part updates and changes to existing parts/assemblies needed to support manufacturing feasibility, part performance improvements, and/or changes to interfacing components /systems.
• Obtain B‑Release for provided IP/Console parts.
• Work with supplier to ensure tooling timing supports downstream deliverables.
• Support IP/Console commodity DV/PV testing and lead issue resolution.
• Support supplier builds. Some local travel necessary to off‑site supplier location.
• Support onsite builds at the manufacturing/assembly location (come time for pre‑production and production builds).
• Issue resolution for all open IP/Console issues thru build phase(s).
• Some overnight travel required in future for pre‑launch/launch activities

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
• 8+ years experience in engineering Instrument Panel /Console Systems thru all development phases
• Experience with Catia v5/6 software system and pulling in and cutting sections in data
• Understanding of Instrument Panel / Console system requirements
• Experience in DV/PV testing phase for instrument panel / console
• Fast resolution of open issues for instrument panel / console
• Strong understanding of the quality process from DFMEA, PFMEA and Control plans
• Proficient ability to read, speak, and understand English
• Take direction from OEM's Engineering to modify components for engineering/design/safety requirements
• German language skills would be a plus (but not required)
