Design Manager - Automotive, Industrial, Office, and Commercial Development Projects
LocationNovi or Detroit Area, Michigan
Role Accountabilities- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align strategic objectives and progress.
- Spearheading delivery strategies, developing fee projections, and ensuring financial targets are met.
- Managing financial and project controls for monitoring, modification, and forecasting.
- Acquiring, deploying, and optimizing project resources.
- Driving timely service delivery, including technical and commercial outcomes, and conducting reviews to exceed client expectations.
- Implementing design delivery best practices, risk and change management, and project planning using digital technologies.
- Understanding project scopes and developing execution plans for design and engineering services.
- Delivering client presentations, preparing written reports, and communicating technical concepts, especially regarding scoping requirements and risk.
- 8+ years of relevant design experience leading or participating in large, multi‑disciplinary design‑engineered solutions and construction projects.
- Experience with Autodesk platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM).
- Certified Project Management (CPM) certification within 30 days of hire (company provides training).
- BA in Architecture or Engineering related to the built environment.
- Preferred certifications: PE, RA, PMP.
- Practical sustainability experience; knowledge of unique mechanical systems is a plus.
- Experience implementing transformative solutions in urban environments.

Compensation$107,281 - $145,000 annually (actual salary depends on experience, education, budget, and location).
