Exterior Trims Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement

• Exterior Trims / Fascia Engineer - Job Description
• Lead the design and development of exterior trim and fascia systems including bumpers, grilles, bezels, and decorative trims across the product lifecycle.
• Define component and system requirements considering styling intent, functionality, safety, and manufacturability.
• Drive RFQs, technical reviews, and supplier selection; manage supplier engineering deliverables and issue resolution.
• Coordinate CAD, packaging, and CAE activities to meet vehicle-level cost, weight, quality, and timing targets.
• Own DVP&R, DFMEA, control plans, and validation activities for assigned components.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory, safety, and OEM standards for exterior systems.
• Support prototype builds, tooling development, and production launch readiness.
• Interface closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure robust execution.
• Apply best practices in robust engineering, DFM/DFA, and continuous cost and weight optimization.
