Automotive Anti-Vibration Rubber Product Designer

This position involves designing and supporting the development of anti-vibration rubber products for automotive applications, contributing to product performance, durability, and overall vehicle comfort. The role includes working within a global, multicultural team to support product development activities from concept through production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development of AVS products from RFQ through prototype and mass production.
• Create and update design concepts, including presentations for OEM customers.
• Support design iterations and prepare reports on development progress and ideas.
• Assist with NVH testing activities, including test requests and report preparation.
• Support discussions with OEM customers regarding design direction, DFMEA, and DV test requirements.

SKILLS

• Experience with CAD tools is preferred, particularly CATIA V5; training will be provided for candidates with limited experience.
• 0–5 years of experience in automotive component design is preferred, including recent graduates and early-career professionals.
• Basic knowledge of product development processes, including: CAD: 3D/2D modeling, GD&T, packaging layout, and basic design optimization
• Evaluation:
  Supporting test requests, basic FEA analysis, result evaluation, and reporting
• Manufacturing:
  Basic understanding of processes such as stamping, molding, curing, forming, and coating.
• Experience with rubber materials or rubber product design is preferred.
• Experience with metal or resin component design is preferred.
• Good communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
• Periodic travel is required.
• Education of BSME required or other related BS Engineering degree
