Salon Manager

Overview

The Salon Leader (SL) is essential to leading a great team, managing salon operations, modeling Regis’ core values, and serving clients in a friendly and professional way. The SL leads salon operations and team members and collaborates with salons under the Regis brands Cost Cutters, Holiday Hair, and Supercuts. Our salons are vibrant, trendy, and friendly environments where customers and team members feel at home.

• Recruit top talent, including interviewing and hiring, to meet salon staffing requirements.
• Evaluate team member performance by setting, documenting, and tracking individual goals.
• Model quality services by consulting with clients and applying appropriate service techniques.
• Participate in approved local marketing initiatives including depth and frequency of coupon campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and client appreciation events.
• Educate clients and team members about proper home hair care and recommend services and products to help maintain hairstyles between visits.
• Model customer service best practices by leading and inspiring the team, ensuring client satisfaction, and building client loyalty.
• Provide customized consultations with each client, including stating the final price before the service begins.
• Complete required salon leadership administrative tasks (e.g., POS ticket closing, timecards, inventory control, onboarding new team members, scheduling appointments) promptly.
• Communicate effectively and positively with clients, team members, leadership, and the corporate support team.
• Meet or exceed personal and salon productivity standards set by Regis.
• Protect the salon’s assets, including enforcing cash handling procedures.
• Lead, train, and model all services offered at the salon.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduled shifts to fit the needs of the business, including potential night and weekend shifts.
• Attend all required technical training sessions and join all virtual and in-person meetings as directed by leadership.
• Enforce and model Regis policies as defined in the Handbook and salon-specific procedures (including bank deposits, salon cleaning/maintenance, and disinfecting styling implements).

• Ability to lead the team and work as a team-player and/or independently.
• Marketing yourself, the salon, and the team in the community to increase salon clientele.
• Modeling exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Providing consistent and excellent customer service.
• Multi-tasking efficiently to complete and manage salon duties (including store meetings, scheduling, cash management, and reporting).
• Willingness to learn new techniques and stay current with hair trends.
• Leading through change and applying effective coaching abilities.
• Traveling to other salon locations as needed (temporary assignments).
• Maintaining full-time status and meeting the business demands.
• The physical requirements of the position may require bending, sitting, twisting, turning, lifting (generally 10-15 pounds), and/or standing for extended periods.

• Three (3) years of experience as a stylist (preferred).
• One (1) year of experience in a salon leadership role (preferred).

• Must maintain a valid cosmetology or barber’s license.
• All Salon Leaders are required to complete assigned training as determined by Regis.
• All Supercuts (SC) Salon Leaders must have received their Hair Stylist Academy (HSA) completion certificate.

The SL role is based at a Regis salon location (Supercuts, Holiday Hair, or Cost Cutters).
