Radiologic Technologist – Computed Tomography (CT)
Location:
Novi, MI 48374
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Nights
- Sunday–Thursday: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Friday & Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend rotation
- Hours per Week: 40 Hours
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs computerized tomography (CT) procedures on patients and may also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explain procedures and prepare patients for CT examinations.
- Review clinical data and obtain relevant patient medical history.
- Set up equipment and perform CT scans using appropriate techniques.
- Administer IV contrast, including use of power injectors, and monitor patients for reactions.
- Assist Radiologist with complex sterile diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies).
- Follow radiation safety guidelines, including ALARA principles.
- Ensure accurate documentation in PACS and RIS systems.
- Maintain procedure rooms and adequate supplies.
- Complete all required clinical and billing documentation.
Unit Details:
- ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient
- Level 2 Trauma Center
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required.
- Experience with Client and Philips equipment required.
- Hospital experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must maintain continuing education requirements.
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Advanced registry in Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or registry-eligible
Work Environment:
- Hospital setting (fixed or mobile unit).
- Possible exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients.
- Occasional lifting of equipment or patients over 10 lbs.
