Position Description and Qualifications
The E-Business Suite Developer is a senior technical role responsible for the architecture, design, development, enhancement, and support of complex Oracle E-Business Suite solutions. This position requires advanced hands‑on expertise in Oracle EBS technical development, including PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, OA Framework, Oracle Workflow, BI Publisher, concurrent processing, data conversions, interfaces, and EDI integrations. The role also requires deep knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, underlying data models, standard APIs, and cross‑functional integration patterns to deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure enterprise solutions.
ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of progressively responsible Oracle E-Business Suite technical development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Eligible candidates hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer & Information Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Required experience includes advanced hands‑on development with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, OA Framework, Oracle Workflow, BI Publisher, SQL Loader, SQL, and PL/SQL, along with strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 architecture, standard APIs, open interfaces, data conversions, and technical support in a production environment.
KeyJob Duties / Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, enhancement, and support of complex Oracle EBS RICEW components, including advanced packages, procedures, functions, Forms, Reports, BI Publisher reports, workflows, interfaces, and extensions aligned to business and system requirements.
- Provide advanced Oracle EBS technical support in a live production environment, performing root cause analysis, debugging complex application and data issues, and delivering durable resolutions across custom and standard components.
- Design, build, and support complex reports, conversions, interfaces, EDI solutions, and extensions using Oracle EBS standards, open interfaces, APIs, web services, and integration patterns with internal and external enterprise systems.
- Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture, Oracle Application Object Library, concurrent processing, multi‑org concepts, database objects, and core development toolsets including SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports, and Oracle Workflow Builder.
- Familiarity or preferably working knowledge of Oracle e‑commerce gateway architecture, EDI standards as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT, along with other basic EDI concepts.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks through advanced SQL and PL/SQL tuning, execution plan analysis, indexing strategies, batch performance optimization, and efficient design for high‑volume transaction processing.
- Partner with business process owners, functional analysts, DBAs, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs, detailed specifications, test scenarios, and production‑ready Oracle EBS solutions.
- Lead or serve as the primary technical contributor on Oracle development initiatives, driving solution design decisions, development standards, deployment readiness, and support for process improvements across EBS‑enabled business functions.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of Oracle EBS module data models, transaction flows, APIs, open interfaces, and underlying table structures across modules such as Order Management, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Depot Repair/Service, General Ledger, and HRMS.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision, exercise strong technical judgment, and assume accountability for the quality, stability, maintainability, and timely delivery of assigned Oracle EBS solutions.
- Lead or participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and solution walkthroughs, and provide guidance on development standards, supportability, and quality improvements for Oracle EBS technical components.
- Apply strong software engineering discipline throughout the full system development life cycle, including technical documentation, unit testing, migration support, defect resolution, release readiness, and production validation to deliver efficient and maintainable Oracle EBS solutions.
- Abide by the prescribed standards and procedures designed to guarantee compliance with key control objectives like JSOX.
- Question existing processes and procedures (both administrative and technical), offer suggestions and opinions for continuous improvement.
- Serve as a senior technical resource within the Oracle EBS team, collaborating effectively across functional and technical teams and providing knowledge sharing and technical guidance as needed to support project and operational objectives.
