Position: (USA) Freight Flow Associate

Position Summary

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts safely, following company standards and guidelines for picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by utilizing policies, data, and resources while collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility, managing inventory flow in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Provide member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, and guiding and supporting members regarding self‑service technology, purchasing decisions, and resolving member issues and concerns.
  • Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials safely, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation, zoning areas, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, and setting up and organizing product displays.
  • Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy.
  • Track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner, reporting poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels in assigned areas.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts safely, reporting poor or unsafe conditions or practices and notifying management when forklifts are not in proper working order.
  • Proactively identify customers who need help, actively engage them, and assist them with technology services and items, while modeling and helping others with technology services.
  • Identify shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas, and take steps to resolve them.
  • Act with integrity, maintain and promote the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and support Walmart’s goals for a regenerative company.
  • Serve customers and members by delivering results while putting the customer first and making decisions based on reliable information.
  • Strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, learning, taking calculated risks, demonstrating courage and resilience, and driving continuous improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience.
  • Retail experience.
  • Experience supervising a team.
