MIG/TIG Welder – Steel & Aluminum Fabrication

Location: Novi, MI

Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: Up to $27/hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible hours available)

About the Opportunity

An established manufacturing and automation company is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder with strong skills in steel and aluminum fabrication
.

This role is ideal for a welder who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality welds and understands the finer details of metal finishing. You’ll be working on medium to heavy-duty components used in custom automation systems, fixtures, and precision assemblies.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel and aluminum components
  • Fit, tack, and weld medium to heavy-duty fabrications with precision
  • Finish welds to meet high-quality appearance and structural standards
  • Deburr, grind, and sand welded assemblies to final finish specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
  • Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and repeatability
  • Inspect completed parts to verify weld quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with company standards

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of professional MIG and TIG welding experience
  • Proficiency welding both steel and aluminum, including structural components
  • Strong finishing skills — grinding, deburring, and sanding for smooth, professional results
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and welding symbols
  • Experience using fabrication tools (saws, grinders, sanders, etc.)
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety, precision, and craftsmanship
