Electrical Control Panel Assembly Manager

Estimate control panel and product wiring costs Generate electrical manufacturing cockpit charts Manage the control panel assembly process and assign the necessary resources to meet project schedules Maintain and update the database of electrical product costs / history Update and maintain equipment preventative maintenance procedures and records Attend and input manufacturing strategy meetings Purchase electrical components Management and control of union personnel including hiring and layoffs Establish and maintain electrical panel shop continuous improvement and cost reduction programs

Perform other related duties as assigned

High School Diploma required Eight or more years of position related experience Able to read and interpret electrical schematics Good understanding of the control panel assembly process as it relates to time impacts on product and fabrication costs Good understanding of union collective bargaining agreements Good understanding of assembly and construction processes as they relate to time impacts on product and fabrication costs Good understanding of and experience with paint finishing related products and systems Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proficient with Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of SAP is a plus Ability to understand and maintain project schedules Good time management skills Good organizational skills Good verbal communication skills Good technical writing skills Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers Able to work well independently and in a team environment Able to technically define problems and propose solutions Adaptable to change in a learning environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary

While performing duties of job, incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
