Mechanical Calibration Technician

Our client, a leader in precision measurement and calibration services, is seeking a Mechanical Calibration Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Calibration Technician, you will be part of the Calibration Services Department supporting the Metrology team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Calibration Technician

Location: Novi, MI

Pay Range: $22 - $25/hr.

Shift: 2nd shift (start 2, 3, or 4 pm)

What's the Job?

• Perform accurate, correct, and repeatable calibrations of customer equipment to appropriate standards
• Assist with documenting and reporting calibration results, providing certification traceable to N.I.S.T and ISO 17025 standards
• Maintain company calibration equipment in good working order and ensure calibration is current
• Complete calibration reports and assist with repairing and calibrating assessment tools and measurement equipment
• Support documentation preparation and monitor business tasks to ensure timely completion and quality

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 – 3 years of related experience in calibration or mechanical repair
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in calibration of PCMMs and/or machine repair
• Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of SMax calibration system
