Supplier Development Engineer

We're partnering with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier to identify an experienced Supplier Development Engineer to support supplier quality, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure product quality, launch readiness, and operational excellence.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Drive supplier quality and performance improvements through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support APQP activities, PPAP approvals, and new product launch activities.
• Lead supplier process audits and ensure compliance with automotive quality standards.
• Analyze supplier performance metrics and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve supplier‑related issues.
• Travel to supplier locations as needed to support development activities.

• 3+ years of Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Quality Engineering experience within a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and IATF 16949.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and driving corrective actions using 8D and Root Cause Analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
