We are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs across all distribution centers and branch locations. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while fostering a strong safety culture that minimizes risk, prevents injuries, and supports operational excellence.

- Develop, implement, and maintain company‑wide EHS policies, programs, and training initiatives
- Lead safety initiatives focused on hazard identification, injury prevention, and risk reduction
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across multiple locations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and local regulations
- Maintain required safety documentation, including OSHA logs, SDS records, and training records
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, return‑to‑work programs, and injury case management with HR and Operations
- Develop and deliver safety training, including new‑hire onboarding and ongoing employee education
- Oversee environmental compliance, including hazardous materials handling, waste management, and spill prevention
- Track and report safety metrics and partner with leadership to drive continuous safety improvements across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3–7 years of EHS experience in distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 30‑hour regulations and safety management systems
- Experience conducting audits, investigations, and employee training
- Ability to travel regularly to distribution centers and branch locations
- Professional certifications such as CPR, First Aid, CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent
- Experience supporting multi‑site operations
- Forklift safety, hazardous materials, and DOT compliance experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to walk distribution centers and branch facilities for audits and inspections
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs
- Travel required (approximately 40‑60%)
