• Work within the quality group at our Novi facility to support the Manufacturing, Production, and Quality initiatives for transmission systems and components.
• Utilizeknowledge of inspection and measuringto perform inspections, verifying that the products are meeting design or spec requirements
• Keep records and communicate non-conformances to support quality initiatives and projects according to customer requirements, TS1694 or/and IATF 16949
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputtingdata into qualitydatabase.
• Keeps measurement equipmentoperatingby following operating instructions; calling for repairs.
• Maintainssafeand healthy work environment by following standards and procedures;complying withlegal regulations.
• Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

• Analyzinginformation, reportingresearchresults, and documentation skills,
• Proficient in different measuring tools
• Proficiency in CMM programming and operation, dimensional metrology, measurement, inspection methods, and calibration.
• Ability to define problems, collect data,establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines
• Excellent communication skills: verbal & written
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work amongst cross-functional teams.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• The employee mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to30pounds.
