• Act as a role model, develop and maintain strong customer relationships through genuine interactions; participate in local outreach, events and networking opportunities to build brand presence.
• Hire, develop, and lead a diverse, high‑performing team that embodies J.Jill’s values; foster a collaborative and positive work environment through coaching, clear communication and recognition while empowering individuals to exceed store goals.
• Drive store performance by analyzing sales trends, setting goals and implementing strategies to meet or exceed targets, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
• Maintain deep knowledge of J.Jill’s products to provide customers with personalized styling recommendations and build confidence in their choices.
• Ensure smooth daily operations, manage inventory and uphold visual merchandising standards, including floor sets, that align with company guidelines.
• Take ownership of store performance, addressing challenges with a proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Navigate various communication settings across different levels of the organization, adjusting messaging to fit diverse audiences.

• 4+ years of women’s specialty retail experience preferred, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high‑performing teams.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Experience in analyzing business trends and executing action plans.
• Passion for fashion, styling, and merchandising.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage ambiguity with confidence.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, pushing/pulling, and maneuvering around the store; hanging/folding merchandise, ladder climbing, operating POS registers and other mobile devices, occasional operation of a trash compactor (where applicable), occasional use of a hand truck, lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, and ability to perform joint/team lifts.
