Assistant Manager

The Retail Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operations of the store, helping to achieve sales goals, maintain merchandising standards, and deliver operational excellence through effective leadership of a high‑performing team. This role collaborates with peers and the Area Manager to assess customer needs and develop strategies for service, sales, and operational objectives. At times, the Assistant Manager may provide full leadership over the store.

• Assist in merchandising, operations, sales, and customer service.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about all products and working with co‑workers to provide excellent sales service.
• Conduct opening and closing operational routines, ensuring a successful start or completion of the store’s daily business.
• Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store, including sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling, and training.
• Coach, teach, train, recognize, and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.
• Act as a partner between customers, sales associates, and store leadership.
• Maintain awareness of all product knowledge and current or upcoming product releases.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.

• Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience; retail management experience a plus.
• Proven experience in a retail/customer service environment.
• Ability to train, coach, develop, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary Range $35,000 – $45,000
