Job Summary
The role of the Sales Representative is to help increase National Food Group’s presence in the Corrections segment. The Sales Representative will be responsible for building new customer relationships, former relationships and driving growth through increased sales.
- Active prospecting within given territory – to include cold calling and customer visits
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects
- Lead generation through calls and trade show visits
- Continually cross-sell and upsell high profit and slow moving inventory
- Manage customer relationships and handle issues promptly within company policy
- Increase revenue and profit within assigned territory by closing new orders
- Work closely with management to achieve sales objectives
- Create and/or communicate with marketing to produce marketing material, including orders guides/flyers/recipes
- Management of order process from entry to invoice and follow-up
- Sending samples to prospective customers
- Working with purchasing to source new products or develop new products to meet customer demand
- Travel to trade shows and presentations
- Work with Chef to create recipes and presentation materials
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Sales experience preferred, but not required
Ability to:
- Ability to travel overnight up to 40%
- Strong relationship management skills and ability to quickly establish rapport
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced working environment
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to lift up 40 pounds
- Work under pressure
- Organize and prioritize work
- Communicate effectively with others over the telephone and in person
Demonstrated skills in:
- Problem resolution
- Advanced Communication both written and verbal
Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
