Rate of Pay: $25.00/hour.

Armed Security Officers protect the site’s building, grounds, assets, employees, tenants, and visitors against criminal activity, accidents, and fires. In this region, officers secure one of the state’s most critical infrastructures: military bases. Duties include controlling access to the facility at all entry/exit points and conducting vehicle patrols around the grounds.

• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, including periodic patrols of assigned locations.
• Monitor CCTV and fire alarms to ensure they function correctly.
• Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to the site.
• Check for employee and vendor identification and maintain a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors, staff, executives, and co‑workers.
• Respond to emergency situations, including fire, medical, or other incidents.
• Observes and reports activities and incidents, maintaining communication with clients and operations managers.
• Enforce site‑specific post guidelines and policies.
• Perform guard posts at building lobbies, gates, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

• At least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current, valid Concealed Pistol License or LEOSA certification.
• Ability to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter, including for marijuana.
• No convictions of felonies, misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances, or multiple alcohol‑related offenses.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk (including up/down stairs) for 8-12 hours at a time.
• Clear vision at least 20 feet away (with corrective lenses if necessary).
• Good hearing in loud environments.

High School Diploma or GED.

Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL).
