As a Security Officer Access Control in Novi, MI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an aero/defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
