Step into a role where you don’t just work on HVAC systems—you redefine service excellence. As a Commercial HVAC Chiller Journeyman Service Technician, you will ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and provide unmatched technical support to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain air‑conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units.
  • Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines.
  • Service refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps.
  • Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems.
  • Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design.
  • Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC industry.
  • 3+ months practical working experience with chillers.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 50lbs.
  • EPA Universal certification.
  • Physical capability to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability by the company’s insurance carrier.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of building automation controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce and Service Max.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $24.00 and $48.00, depending on skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
