Overview
Responsible for routine warehouse product organization and material handling in regards to product, shipping, receiving, and delivery duties.
Unload finished goods from containers, pick orders while maintaining an organized yard and warehouse. Supports the warehouse areas by shipping/receiving products, loading and unloading items, and operates a company truck as a backup driver delivering product to customers. Assists in other areas of the warehouse and division as needed.
Job requirements:
- Walk 50% of the time.
- 1st shift (hours TBD); mandatory overtime and potential weekend work.
- Experience with scanners, forklifts, teamwork, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Salary range $20/hr to $21/hr DOE.
- Receive daily orders pick list, pull orders, and load quartz slabs on truck for delivery.
- Unload and load containers in a timely and safe manner.
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Assist customers in a friendly manner.
- Maintain and organize warehouse/yard.
- Familiar with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Assist with product order filling as needed.
- Follow all safety rules.
- Think independently.
- Work with technical and industry personnel.
- Knowledge of warehouse/shipping and receiving functions.
- Safely drive forklift.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Clear driving record.
- 1-2 years of similar warehouse experience.
- Technical training or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of relevant work experience).
- Excellent multi-tasking, organization, and documentation skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Competency in hand tools and industry equipment.
- Ability to read drawings and follow written procedures.
- Forklift operation (certification preferred).
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- May require extended work hours.
- May require working in hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and close proximity to teammates.
- Background check, drug screen, forklift certification, and DOT physical required.
