Our client, a leading commercial vehicle company, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their reputable workshop in Nuneaton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician or Trailer Technician to advance their career within a professional, well-established environment offering ongoing training and long-term development.

Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • - Conduct major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and associated vehicles
  • - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance work
  • - Diagnose faults and plan repairs collaboratively with the workshop team
  • - Maintain accurate service and repair records
  • - Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • - Support roadside repair requirements when needed
  • - Complete all relevant paperwork and warranty documentation
Requirements:
  • - Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair & Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
  • - Proven experience as an HGV or Trailer Technician
  • - Strong understanding of DVSA standards and compliance
  • - Ability to accurately identify worn and defective components
  • - Full UK Driving Licence relevant to vehicle types worked on
  • - IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential
  • - Reliable and professional approach, with a keen eye for detail
