The Senior Accountant, Inventory supports financial operations through inventory accounting, cost forecasting, royalty agreement accounting, and analysis of financial results and variances. This role partners with business teams to improve reporting, processes, and inventory-related financial controls.
Responsibilities- Analyze inventory valuation and movements, explain purchase price variances, and forecast cost element variances.
- Account for royalty agreements, including reviewing obligations and processing related invoices.
- Prepare journal entries, analyze accounts, and support general ledger management.
- Assist with internal and external audits, special projects, and process improvements or automation.
- Partner with inventory control and other business teams on inventory flows and financial reporting.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in cost accounting or a similar function.
- At least 1 year of forecasting experience.
- Bachelor's degree with an accounting concentration or similar degree.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, ERP reporting environments, and US GAAP; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong Excel, communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
