Pay Range: The pay range for this job is $62000 - $88000 annually; actual pay is dependent on experience and geographic location.

Position Overview

Join our Retail Business Planning team at Ralph Lauren as we drive our vision to lead in the luxury lifestyle space. As a Business Planning Analyst supporting our full-price Stores business, you'll be at the forefront of shaping data-driven decisions through daily sales and KPI reporting, analytics, and strategic insights. This role embodies The RL Way - "Love what you do, be passionate, work hard, work together" - as you help elevate our brand presence and drive business growth through comprehensive analytics and reporting that optimize sales, profit, and inventory productivity across our retail ecosystem.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated analytics that drive strategic business decisions for Store/Business Planning
  • Drive reporting excellence by designing and deploying simplified Excel and Business Intelligence templates that promote standardization, reduce errors, and enhance operational agility
  • Lead analysis of store performance metrics, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities
  • Learn and become proficient in Ralph Lauren's planning systems to execute critical business planning processes
  • Analyze and forecast business trends to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities, enabling strategic business planning and growth initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Business Planning team to create and maintain daily financial plans and forecasts, aligning sales and gross margin projections with corporate objectives and growth targets
  • Drive strategic partnerships across key stakeholders including Merchandise Planning, Marketing, Store Operations, and Field Leadership teams to ensure alignment and optimize business outcomes
  • Design and deliver compelling data visualizations and executive presentations that tell the story behind the numbers
Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • Drive innovation in reporting methodologies and dashboard development using advanced business intelligence tools
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, including ad-hoc requests
  • Support strategic initiatives through detailed financial modeling and scenario planning
  • Recap and analyze effectiveness of in-store events, marketing activations, and promotions
  • Provide actionable insights on business opportunities, potential risks, and market trends to strengthen forecast reliability
  • Create and maintain cross-functional visibility reports highlighting product and location results
  • Prepare and deliver compelling executive summaries that translate complex data into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations
  • Conduct comprehensive business analysis using available systems and tools to address management inquiries and support strategic decision-making
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and business intelligence tools
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical systems quickly
  • Proficient in retail math
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and accurate
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrates aptitude to develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships
  • Experience with retail analytics or allocation systems
  • Knowledge of Visual Insights or similar BI platforms
  • Understanding of luxury retail business metrics and KPIs
